Foglia Partners, with a team composed of Giuliano Foglia, Matteo Carfagnini and Marco Masi, advised Wendel by handling all Italian tax law aspects of the acquisition of a 50 percent stake in Globeducate from Providence Equity Partners L.L.C.
The transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval, will result in Wendel and Providence Equity Partners L.L.C. becoming equal shareholders in Globeducate, a Spanish group that is among the leaders — globally — in education, with an international network of more than 65 bilingual educational institutions and online programs in 11 countries and a team of more than 6,000 people, reaching, in total, more than 40,000 students.
