Foglia & Partners, with a team coordinated by Giuliano Foglia and Duccio Casciani and comprising Francesco Capogrossi, Maddalena Cecci and Marco Murino, assisted Lottomatica by handling the tax aspects of the agreement to acquire SKS365 Malta Holdings Limited for approximately €639 million. The transaction is expected to be finalized by the first half of 2024, following Antitrust and regulatory approvals.
SKS365 Malta Holdings Limited, which operates in the Italian sports betting market under the Planetwin365 and PlanetPay365 brands has about 600 thousand registered online customers and a network of about 1,000 retail outlets, holding a market share of 9.6 percent in the iSports segment and 6.4 percent in the iGaming segment.
Lottomatica is the first Italian operator in the public gaming market authorized by the Customs and Monopolies Agency and one of the largest players at the European level, active in online gaming and betting, including under the Better, Betflag, GoldBet and Intralot brands, as well as in the management of VLT and AWP machines.
