Proud to have participated in this very important transaction for the world of fashion and luxury, Foglia & Partners, with a team coordinated by Giuliano Foglia and Matteo Carfagnini composed of Francesco Capogrossi, Mariangela La Pastina, Emanuele Gentile, Maddalena Cecci and Michele Ferraro assisted Kering by taking care of the tax aspects of the investment for the acquisition of 30 percent of Valentino for about 1.7 billion euros. For aspects of French tax law, we collaborated with our friends at the Paris firm Arsene Taxand, and in particular with partner Denis Andres and manager Amel Chekhab.
Valentino is one of Italy’s most internationally recognized haute couture brands, with a strong heritage, a high-end luxury positioning rooted in haute couture, and a portfolio of iconic creations that now has more than two hundred boutiques in more than twenty-five countries.
Kering is the Paris-based multinational luxury group that supports and promotes the development of some of the world’s most renowned and important fashion, leather and jewelry brands.
